Last Wednesday I came down with some kind of cold/flu bug (fever, headache, sore throat, congestion) and am starting to feel better (just have some lingering congestion and a cough), but my blood sugars have not yet returned to where I like them to be and I am having to take bout 5 times as much insulin as I normally do to keep my blood sugar from going into the 200s after meals. I typically eat 20-30g of carbs for each meal and pre-sickness I could get away with taking only 1-2 units and have a post meal blood sugar right around 80-100, now I’m taking 4-5 units before each meal. Will things go back to normal once this cold has run its course? (I hope so)
