Is it possible to use an OMNI pod and a CGM together? I have hypoglycemic unawareness, but would like to wear a tubeless insulin pump.
Why not? Whether or not a pump is tubeless doesn’t preclude use of a CGM.
But no at this point they don’t interface together if that’s what you’re asking… I believe that’s in the near future
I’m a fervent supporter of integration. Just not when it comes to insulin pumps. (Because CGM improvements have historically occurred at a faster pace than pump improvements, and not all integrated pumps can facilitate CGM upgrades, i.e. with many pumps you’re stuck with the CGM version that came with the pump.)
Such to say that you can’t even view the Dexcom data on the omnipod pdm at this point can you? Like you can with the animas pumps
The OmniPod system is so awesome that patience is truly a virtue!
I started using OmniPod and Dexcom CGM in 2009. I am very happy with this combo.
