This is a picture that Gwen drew about Diabetes. She is the big sister of Olivia. Olivia is three and was dx with diabetes on June 12th, 2007 (almost one year! - wow this year has flown by!). She titled it "Diabetes" and these are the things that keep her little sister healthy. Olivia's insulin shots (the needle), blood glucose meter (with a good number of 96 showing in the window), and her lancet device (Gwen calls it the finger pricker!). She also had to have Olivia's hands with the little drop of blood on one of the fingers of each hand. I was also proud that she spelled Diabetes right! She did a great job on this picture and has entered it in the tudiabetes children's poster contest.
