Have you seen the future? I'm sure you have not. I have not either. Yet, I think we can all look ahead and see the great things waiting for us, not just ten and twenty years from today, but ten minutes from now and tomorrow.
Begin to see your value and your worth. You are amazing! You may be living with Diabetes right now, but it does not determine who you are or what your final outcome each day have to be.
Yes, there will be crappy days. I assure you. As a mom that sees what her child goes through and as a sister that has lived to see what her brothers experience, I know life can be something you wish would go away. But, I would love for you to take a good look in the mirror and see the amazing and wonderful you, not only on the outside, but in the inside. You have so much to give to this world.
Have you seen the future? It has your name all over it! You have something to leave this generation. You have something to say. Yes, sometimes you want to be left alone. For this moment right now, you are not alone. Thousands of Diabetics like you reach out and hold your hand, and say, "Together we will face the future. You are not alone. I will be here with you."
I have seen the future. It is bright and amazing. It is filled with my son doing great exploits and succeeding. It is a place where he has learned to manage the diabetes and it does not control or define him. He knows his future is full of endless possibilities.
