just got back from the doctors and it looks like i gained some weight. what a bummer! i have been noticing that every time that i go for a visit my weight seems to drop and then go up a little bit and then come down again. i wonder why that is. maybe i should have asked the doctor.
i am really happy with my A1C level, it’s even lower than my last two visits. it use to be at 5.9 and now it’s down to 5.3. now to quote vice president biden “that’s a big ■■■■■■■ deal.” the bad cholesterol has also gone down from my last visit which i guess is a positive sign.
im happy with those results but the numbers that i care about the most is my HDL. it seems like for the last two visits the numbers have been going up by two points, what the hell!. the doctor and i spent some time talking about NIASPAN and what it does and could do to my blood pleasure. i don’t want to take it if there is a small risk like that, i have only felt my sugar level drop once and i hated the feeling.
my doctor made it clear that he doesn’t want to put me on that medication so he’s giving me another 3 months to bring up my HDL. it looks like i’ll have to go back to working out for 1-2 hours a day cause 30 minutes a day isn’t doing the job. he also told me what my BMI weight should be and i’m sorry but losing 60 pounds is a little to much i don’t think that my body was built to function that way. i’m a strong believe that people where built differently some where built to be larger than others and some where born to be smaller. i’m a thick guy, i played football, i love weights i couldn’t imagine myself 200, i would look odd especially with my head being as big as it is i would look like a bobble head doll.
i guess there’s not much that i can do from this point on, i have completed my goals a lot faster than i thought i was going to and now the one that i can’t seem to beat is what’s standing between me and satisfaction. all i can do is work out as much and as best as i can every day and hope everything works for the best.
for the last two weeks i been thinking of taking my drive on movement (kind of like what livestrong is to testicular cancer; drive on will be to diabetes. my way of replacing the ADA since i hate them) a step up, i have a logo done, i have an idea of what the drive on movement stands for and believes in but i don’t know where to go from their. can anyone help me? or help me get a small online army started.

HDL is the good cholesterol...keep it high. You should be happy about it.
Congratulations on your amazing HbA1c levels!
Sounds like you are doing great. And see if the doctor will lose 60 lbs first. lol
