wow, it’s been a long time. i don’t really know where to start. so the last time that i went to the doctor; sometime in july, around the 16th maybe my bad cholesterol numbers went down some more! to be honest i don’t know how that keeps happening but it’s really nice to see the changes that i have done for myself are paying off.
speaking of numbers and cholesterol my hdl also went up two point! now i have a problem with my hdl, why does it only seem to be going up two points every visit? i eat right, i work out; 75% weights and 25% cardio and i try to consume anything that has omega 3. so then what’s going on? well come to find out from my doctor that i should change my work out from what i normally do to 75% cardio and 25% weights, which i really don’t understand why since it all pumps the blood and raises my heart rate probably at the same rate.
the doc ended up taking me on a little tour of his office and showed me his little work out room that he had sound proof so when he blast gloria estefan music during his work outs. lol this guy makes going to the doctors fun for me.
also my a1c got lower! i am not proud to say that i am at 4.9, yes i’m off the chart!
as of the last 3 weeks for about two of them i stopped taking my medication all together and i have to say that things went well i had no spikes and no low’s. it was psychologically nice not to bother with taking pills everyday, i felt great my body felt different. over all it was a good feeling to have. i don’t know what it was like i said it could have been psychological, which only went to prove my theory that pills keep you sick for profit.
seems like for the last 2 weeks i been kind of careless on what i ate, didn’t bother watching my calorie numbers and i can tell that my body has taken the hit pretty bad, i’m starting to develop a gut! and not feeling as best as i could be and have been feeling. but i’m back on the watch, i can’t keep feeling disgusted with myself any longer.
since starting to back on my weight watch i also started doing what i like to call pee up’s. every time i go to use the bathroom at work i make it a point to do 10 push ups before i leave the bathroom. so in the course of a day at work i get an extra 30 to 40 push ups a day. so i can only hope that all these new things will help me better myself a little more if not a lot more than what i’m at now. i’m still not happy with my weight but i know that when i step on the scale i have to remember that some of the weight that i packed on has been from muscle and that’s no excuse.
i only hope for the best in the future.
