Hold out your hand and ask for HELP

After two terrible weeks of cramps in the legs and thighs and a bout of gout it is nice to be able to sit here almost pain free and watch birds to and frowing in the apple tree at the bottom of our garden, not a big garden as gardens go but the only one around with trees and bushes in it sound investment buying apple pear and other bushes and trees some 15 years ago the lilac is coming to an end and the refreshing smell wafting through our windows will soon be a past but pleasant memory.

The winter was severe this year and we lost a lot of things as you do if you dof not take care of them the snow and frost descended like an iron glove for weeks we will remember this winter for a long time to come the year the Christmas when burst pipes spewed out water by the gallons flooding our downstairs living quarters not one but three times in a matter of two weeks,at times like these you tend to forget your own problems and through the panic the water the cold you try to keep you and your loved one warm not easy when you have no heating and the temperature drops to 12 below.

The cold certainly did me no good being diabetic you know your extremities are always colder well mine are feet legs hands and head at one time I had 2 coats 2 jumpers 3 pairs of socks and was still shivering, mom use to tell me when anything bad happened these things are sent to test us,and we were truly tested this winter but with the help of God and my own Angel I can sit here this morning and look back at it all nearly said smile but it was no laughing matter what I meant to say was no matter how bad it gets tomorrow is just a while away and you know what a new day can bring.

PS

Believe in God or not I could not have come trough this time without help I asked for it and it came

twiddlethumbs, it’s good to hear you in better spirits.
