hello
Can anyone give me a little insight on Hot Tub / Water use now that I am on the pump (mini)? My wife and I own a hot tub and I use it to help my muslces after running to relax them and such.
I am concerned about the adhesive around the “sight” coming off while in the Hot Tub/ Water / Shower? anyone got a little advise for me?

Kevin - I use the Animas 2020 - and when I go into the hot tub I disconnect for the time I’m in the hot tub (generally no more then 15 minutes - as I’m not a big hot water heat lover) - since I don’t want to over heat my insulin in the cartridge. So far, my infusion has stayed on - and that’s with going in/out of hot tub / water / shower for the 3 days that I keep my infusion site on. I know that Skin Preps by Smith & Nephew (get them at my pharmacy) keep the infusion set adhered to me well - but even before I started using them (got a freebie box to use) - I just used alcohol wipes to clean the infusion site and adhesive held on fine thru’ all my water episodes. It also depends on your skin surface as well that you are applying the infusion to (e.g. hair/oily skin, etc.) on how it all adheres - everyone is different. Hope this helps.
I also disconnect my pump and use the little plastic cap that comes with the infusion set to cover it. I haven’t had any problems with them falling off.
There are the IV3000, which are like a second skin that helps to hold the infusion set on. Sometime I cover with one of those while swimming.
