LOL, that was the funniest “lancet conversation” I’ve ever heard!!
I’ve just started using a sharps container (just went on insulin) and I’m also putting used strips and lancets in it. I use my local Safeway pharmacy and they supply them as well as take them back. Very convenient!
I change it every time unless I want to re-test right a way (wonky results, etc.). I was told to change every time or at least once a day. I guess I tend to do what I’m told. Well, most some a few things.
Dino, you really make me laugh! Please keep writing! I love ya!
LOL I agree with you Karen. Never heard of someone so emotionally attached to a lancet LOL.
i do 6 to 8 cheks per day and my doctor has told me to change it every 3 or 4 days, and this is what i do.
haha I think I change mine about once a month or so. I used to change it only when we had the time change… so twice a year.
I changed mines everytime I use it and i test 10 times per day
My lancet can go one, two even three month without change it
Love ya right back!
NOT OFTEN ENOUGH!
ditto…
I change mine when instead of poking a nice neat hole I get blood through blunt force tauma.
Ivan!
Change my lancet? why would I do that? It’s given me five years of good service . . .
Terry
I change it whenever I get a lance-site infection.
Kidding. Seriously, I change it when I remember to, which is every 2-3 weeks usually.
I change mine daily.
Yesterday I poked and the needle felt like it was stuck in my finger (OUCH!) so I changed it. LOL. That’s pretty much what it takes…
until it won’t puncture the skin, or it really hurts.
once a day for the morning fasting sugar. I know it is clean and sterile. check 5-6 times a day.
I guess im new to this so i’m still a virgin and change it every time lol
I change mine for every test! I suppose it’s because I live in the UK and get all my lancets, and everything else, totally free. Trust me, it’d be a different story if I had to pay for them though…
