I have 2 and a half boxes of infusion sets that I can not use. They are straight sets of the minimed quick set and I have no where on me where these work without extreme pain. I use the animas angled ones exclusively now.
So where could I donate these minimed ones? They were so expensive for me I hate to see them just sit and expire : (
If it is legal without a RX I would donate them to an individual if anyone lives in my area (but I need to make sure what is legal)
You could donate them to your local hospital. Most hospitals (if not all) have community education departments that can give them to individuals who are in need of them.
Rose, it isn’t legal because infusion sets are considered prescription only. There have been various sites that are licensed to take donated supplies though. We on the admin team suggest you try Insulin For Life, USA.
