My starter kit came in, with the PDM and a free sugar monitor and strips. I'm so excited. I called my rep to set up a training session. Now I have to wait on my pods. After 12 years of being a "pumper", I can't wait to be a "podder" lol!
I'm impressed with the PDM - small, stylish and black in color. It's a lot smaller than I thought it would be. This is going to be awesome.

You will love the experience. I've been on the POD for almost a month and haven't had one occlusion, no problems with putting it on, keeping it on, taking it off etc. My only problem is finding the perfect settings to reach and stay in my goals. I guess that it is better to run 'high' for a week or two, than run too low. I see my educator next week for a 'final tweek': this week an adjustment brought the BG readings ALMOST where they need to be.:)
Agreed that it takes some time to figure out all the settings (I've heard it'st still true switching from one pump to another). I've found that even once I've "arrived" at the perfect basal rates, the seasons change or my schedule does something different and it's a moving target all over again. At least it's easier to tweak with a pump :)
Hey I just was trained Tuesday! If your training goes anything like mine did, you're going to love it! I've pumped for 10 years and so far this has been the best experience!!! Good luck!
