Ignore The Pushers

I try to keep up with all the studies, research, advancements in treatments and technologies in treating diabetes and the search for a cure. There is a lot going on, but there needs to be more.

In my roaming of the internet, news, magazines, papers, books, people, and all resources of information, I am forever bombarded with ads and even blatant lying articles, videos, etc.. trying to nab any ignorant, vulnerable, suckers who'll fall for the lies.

“Try this new cure for diabetes!”

“Well hidden secret cure for diabetes!”

“Reverse diabetes now!”

“This supplement will cure your diabetes!”

"This common food reverses diabetes!"

LIES, LIES, LIES!!! Everywhere, LIES!

Slithering snakes trying to take advantage of the emotionally and psychologically heartbroken sufferers. They want to make money, they try so hard to get rich off the suffering of others.

It pisses me off to no end.

C’mon, people, if there was a cure do you really think there would be so many diabetics just living their lives continuing to suffer for no good reason?

If there was a cure it would be shouted from the rooftops. We would all know about it and be crowding our doctor’s office demanding it right this second. It wouldn’t be in some ad off to the side of your computer screen with some sneaky wording trying to pique your interest and curiosity. It would be on the front-lines of reputable well-known news sources. Your doctor would be telling you about it!

Don’t bother with the pushers, the liars, the greedy bastards who profit from your heartache. We struggle enough with insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies, and government using us as money sources. We don’t need more leeches on our asses. At least the insurance, pharmaceutical, and government do something to help. The lying fake cures just take and give nothing in return.

I say ignore them, but it’s near impossible to do that because they are everywhere. Just like roaches, ants, and vermin, they know how to get in from every little crevasse. I wish there was a way to destroy them all.

Destroy the pushers, destroy the misinformation, DESTROY THE LIES!

Whenever we have comments in the chat room about cures and the like, I'm going to direct them to your blog. Well done Tamra!!!

Aw, thanks!

These liars and snake oil sellers deserve to rot in hell for all eternity.

Well said.

You posted a credible message and nice graphics. I might be accused of being the word police, bit I dislike the term “reverse diabetes.” I’m currently watching the Diabetes Summit videos and they are all using this term. I prefer more precision that leaves no room for misleading.

A valid claim can be made that, for example, a low carb high fat diet can reverse some of the “symptoms” of diabetes. I believe that the underlying physiology is not reversed and if the person reverts to high carb high fat ways then the diabetes symptoms will return.

When I see reverse diabetes, it conjures up images of 19th century patent medicine flim-flam artists that separate desperate people from their money. Reverse to me means cure.

Tamra,..

I heard about this new potion that cures all the ills of the world. It cures Drug Abuse, Hemophilia, Hemorrhoids, Asthma, and Foot Pain, Diabetes among others. It is an aerosol, cream, injectable, mist that can be applied every 5 minutes, one hour, six days, yearly. This new miracle drug is available online over the counter and by prescription on the Isle of Rick, a (new nation state). It costs $49.99 plus $275 shipping. Order 'Cureall' by calling 1-800-Get-Well.

(note- all claims are not verified, use of this drug may cause death, legions in bad places, hair loss, and all other bad things any things can cause) Cureall is not FDA approved, or safe in any way. (

Do not spill on carpets, as noxious odors may cause symptoms CureAll is curing. Do we really need to mention the redundant nature of this precaution?)

LOL I hope you enjoyed my stupid advertisement.

Do not worry I am refining it...........Rick Emperor of the Isle of Rick

LOL !

:)

Well done Tamra.
LOL Rick, can you send me some Urgently!

I agree on the ‘reverse’ and things. I had an email from webmd and someone in their diabetic forum posted something about 7 ways to ‘cure’ diabetes. Even had a link to it. They pulled it off real quick. Another scam. I keep telling people that yes, we can and do gain/maintain control but we aren’t cured. I still get high reads at times depending on what I eat. But I try to maintain a very tight control. Must be doing good, something right. Last doctor visit he told me that if someone didn’t know me and looked at my labs and my spreadsheets( I put all on to it) they’d think I was normal. But then he told me that I’ll always be diabetic and if I didn’t keep this up it will come up and bite me in the rear real hard. Told me it’s about like being an alcoholic. That they’re always one and just maintain day by day. Told me about his sister going to the AA all the time and when she goes elsewhere she already knows the location of one and meeting times.
Said that being diabetic is like that in a way because we will always be one and will always have to monitoring ourselves daily in what we do. If we slip up then we’re had, just like if an alcoholic slips up then they’re had and have to start back up again. Can see the comparisons due to having had two or three in the family(uncles).

But nothing pees me off ore than those ‘snake oil’ salesmen/saleswomen. So many desperate people out there tossing their money into schemes. I told my wife that I could put some bird poop, yard grass into capsules and get on television wearing a smock and stethoscope and hold it up claiming to cure what ails you and I would be rich because people would believe it.
