Infusion sets

I have looked here and have not found a post. But which infusion set is better between these two the quick set or the MIO? I am using the quick-set because its what they started me on when I got my pump a month ago. I like the idea of the mio the inserter and already mounted the infusion needle but they charge more for it.

I heard you can get samples sent to you but who do you call? the Ordering line or the problem hotline?

I called Medtronic and they sent me a couple mio sets (4) free. I tried them and went back to the quick-sets. I don't know why but the mio sets sent my blood sugar way up. I went back to the quick set and they immediately went back down.

Mios are very easy!

I would call Medtronics (1.800.646.4633) and choose option 1 from the menu. If they can't help you they will connect you with someone that can.

I have some Mios, almost a full box, if anyone is interested, make me an offer. Reasonable please. I keep them, for now, since I can’t return an incomplete box. I tend to pull them out or they don’t last the full 72 hours on my body. But, I am heavy. Not a thinner body. I think that makes a difference. Let me know if you are interested.

My Dr. gave me one to try....the circular adhesive areas has a lesser diameter than the Quick-set, little more awkward using insert-er for me (I've only feeling in one hand...) appears to have a metal needle that stays inserted (?, vs)plastic tube for Quick-set.

..made it thru the shower okay....like the cap while showering..smaller profile than Quick-set...note the twist attachment for tubing on the connection to my cannala (Quick) occasionally untwists when moving pump (tubing)from one side to other due to pockets, seat belts etc. The MIO avoids the accidental twist-loosing issue....

MIO insert on day two is already sore (w/out snags)wonder if it is the metal needle???
