Haven't tried through ADW...Did try through edgepark and byram
Edgepark lets you submit it, but they say Insulet blocks it when they try to process
Point is..theres no way Insulet is going to get it to me by the time warranty is up, and i'll have to buy it anyways, why not let me buy it NOW and use my shiny new pods?
i only went to ADW because i wasn't going to try to put it through insurance or anything. just go on line, put in your dr. info and hit purchase. seems like they are an independent store and have them in stock.
This is based on what I have picked up from the many posts about this situation and I invite Ags to correct me if my summary of what happened is incorrect.
The company who provides his pods made a mistake. He knew it when they arrived, but rather than return them for the correct pods, he opted to jump the line to get his PDM before Insulet was prepared to provide one to him.
He assumes that Insulet will deny his free upgrade to a new PDM, but there is nothing to indicate that is the case.
Now he's almost out of pods and is unable to use the ones that were mistakenly sent to him in his last delivery.
I can't say I don't empathize with his situation - I, too, would be sorely disappointed to have the newer pods delivered thinking that I was about to switch (and in fact, felt quite disappointed when my last pods arrived and were the larger size). But Ags has soured me to his situation by the constant barrage of negative posts and threads here and his attempt to make the rest of us as outraged by Insulet as he is.
I wish Ags nothing but luck getting the supplies he needs but I'm in the same boat - stuck using the old system until Insulet transitions me.
Fact is...call insulet..they will tell you that once warranty is up, insurance process kicks in, thus making me pay for the PDM ($500) since I never meet my deductible.
Medco sent the new pods...what is the logic in sending them back when insulet insists the PDM process will be "soon"?
Tired of you people that wont DO anything, just sit and write on here without doing your own research.
Its obvious there ARE PDMS, insulet just doesn't want to give them up. Yet they are willing to SELL a brand new person one...
I have a major problem with them getting their hands into the distributors business as well.
So why not send your pods back and get the ones that should have been sent in the first place? Is your distributor unwilling to exchange them? Because THAT is what I'd have an issue with.
I don't feel the need to DO anything to research your complaint. I started out trying to offer you a different perspective/option but you don't seem open to another avenue. Fair enough.
I think it's rude of you to go into every thread and post negative comments that may then cause others to just hit 'back' rather than address the thread starter's question. Seriously.
Totally agree, really bored with the hijacking of every thread with what has become the same monotonous repetition , I did sympathise but not any more, just bored!
