I've been coming to this site for several months now and want say how much I appreciate everyone. When I first started I was looking for answers and had no trouble finding them. I was just starting MDI and had no idea what to do. What I have learned and continue to learn has helped me greatly.
What impresses me the most is the support I see given out daily here. There are new members joining daily asking the same questions over and over and each is treated with respect with plenty of people willing to give help. I have seen on other sites snide remarks telling newcomers to search for answers to questions that been answered before. That doesn't happen here.
Seasoned members here will at times have minor and sometimes major rants, no one ever tells them they don't want to hear it . Instead there is always someone that will listen and most of the time agree. When someone comes here down in the dumps or just looking for a little understanding he or she gets it. We try to cheer each other up when we are down and are always understanding because we really do understand.
Encouragement is handed out daily here. We are all bewildered at times but there is always someone that will pat us on the back and tell us that we can do it. Praise is also handed out frequently because we all know that accomplishments don't come easy.
I have seen no major flame wars here. There have been heated discussions but they were handled with respect. If we can't agree at least we disagree agreeably.
There's even the occasional bit of humor thrown in for good measure.
I couldn't agree with you more, this is an awesome community of caring individuals. Even though I am here for my son, its also played a huge roll in my well being. It would take a lot of typing to tell all the things TuD has helped us with. Sharing is a lot of fun too. :)
Gary, Like you I have only been on this site for a few months. It is the best thing that has happened for me since I have been dx as T1. I have gotten way more info from this website than I will ever get from my endo.
Yes I agree with everything u just said. We're here to support eachother not judge b/c most of us have been there at one time or another. ur right a GREAT BUNCH OF PPL HERE!
Simply an AWESOME group of people on here and yes, lifesaving at times, life changing at times too. Incredible. Don't know what I would have done w/out the folks on this site; their patience, guidance, support, comfort, knowledge..incredible! Thank you to all!
I have definitely learned more from being on this site than any doc I have ever visited. People who want to help others are a gift to be treasured. Glad you appreciate the site, Gary.
First thing in the morning - check TuD. Last thing at night- check TuD. Multiple times per day... well, you get it! I've been involved with numerous online communities over the years, and TuD beats them all in every possible way.

Like others, I found TuD while searching for help related to diabetes, in my case, issues with MM CGMS. I found much more than what I could have hoped for.
