JDRF's Promise Campaign: getting the diabetes community and members of US congress together

The Promise Campaign is JDRF's most important advocacy effort. Their goal is to generate as many in-person meetings between the diabetes community and members of the US congress as possible when the members are back in their home districts. The campaign runs for 9 months from August 1 to May 1, 2012. During the last Promise Campaign, they completed 431 meetings. This time they’re shooting for 432.

The message they are communicating is focused on the artificial pancreas (AP) and the need for the FDA to help move the AP forward. This builds on the message we communicated during the JDRF Children’s Congress event in June.

A great effort! Hope members who join the effort will report back.
