I started on the Omnipod almost 2 weeks ago, and I am really liking it so far. What I'm not liking is the case. For one thing, it's black. I know I'm sick -- I don't need a depressing black case to remind me every day. Also, if I'm not really careful to put my test strips and lancing device into the elastic holders, everything falls out when I open the case. Maybe I'm just a klutz, but those elastic bands seem like more trouble than they're worth. So . . . I was at the factory outlets yesterday, and found the PERFECT case at le sportsac. It has 2 zipper compartments, one large enough to hold extra pods, test strips, insulin, etc. The other is smaller and holds the PDM securely. There are even some mesh zipper compartments for alcohol wipes. It's a little bit bigger than the Omnipod case but, for me, so much easier to use. Here is the link in case anyone is interested:
I got it for $16 at the outlets, and I think it's about $25 retail. I probably sound as though I work for le sportsac! I don't, but when you find something that makes diabetes a little easier to deal with, it really makes your day, know what I mean?
