Let's look at today's exercise for the D Blog Week:
Day 5- Let's get moving. Exercise . . . love it or hate it? Do you have a regular exercise routine? Or do you have trouble finding your exercise motivation? How do you manage your insulin and food to avoid bottoming out during your workout? Today is the day to tell us all about your exercise habits, or lack thereof.
I'm going to tackle this question by picking out words that jump out at me.
Exercise . . . hate it ... trouble finding your exercise motivation ... lack thereof.
Yup, that about sums it up nicely.
How many calories does keyboarding burn? 100 wpm must mean at least some calories are burned. Our house has lots of stairs. More calories I'm sure. How 'bout hauling laundry to the basement? That's not really working for me, is it?
I do try to stay motivated with limited success. I'd get out almost every day with the dogs for a walk. But before you know it, it's late at night, garbage and recycling has to be sorted, lunches need to be made, and I've run out of socks so the laundry needs to be done. Or maybe I just have to check email and do a little tour of the online groups
Shoveling and grass cutting are certainly real exercise, albeit not very much fun. I find that shoveling doesn't cut it. After all, if you wait long enough, the snow will eventually melt. Both of these activities does a number on my numbers. For these activities I test and reduce the temp basal on my pump by 40%.
Yeah, I know. Time to get a move on it. Speaking of which, I have some grass cuttin' to do. And believe it or not I am looking forward to walking with my husband and the dogs. It's supposed to be a mighty fine weekend.
