Your hand scribble says it all! So many questions come to mind. Were you conscious? Who checked your blood sugar? Were you around people or alone?

I can’t even remember my highest, but I know it was in the 500’s when I was diagnosed. My lowest was in the 20’s. That was after I was diagnosed for over two years!
Highest: 596 at diagnosis
Lowest: 15 two weeks after starting insulin. I was awake but trembling all over.
Oddly enough one of the things they recommend for a pump sick day kit, was anti-nausea medication (one of the compazine derivatives, prescription item, but i have odansetron/Zofran and was suggested I use that (have some chronic GI issues, leaning towards gastroparesis). I find the problem I have when I get sick and diabetic is getting dehydrated… I usually only have a slight elevation in BG… The running joke is i end up usually spending 6-8 hours in the ER for dehydration, but if they don’t rerun the labs or take into account im dehydrated. my electrolytes are screwed and they admit me. and im like WTF…Well im dehydrated, im going to be off untill i have a few bags in me… *wants to dopesmack certain ER folk
