New Pods Arrived!

Yeah we were one of the lucky firsts it seems, they are sending them out according to who is do for their shipment..... they arrived before jacob got up, it has been a running joke around here since he got the pod two years ago that they are never coming, i brought them in and said happy birthday! he snuggled the pods like a pet and immediately stating taking pics to send to dad at work. he loves he new black skin that came with it, he tested this morning and said sexy black pdm, his former skin was little kid yellow! so the set up was strait forward a few small changes the only thing i think i won't like is the new insulin on board feature which includes food not just correction, jacob is 14 and eats all the time we already have some issues with him not getting enough insulin for his frequent grazing d/t this feature so he will need to work around this. the insertion felt better, it feels smaller and he layed down on his belly last night at bed time and said he couldnt even feel it! happy happy all around now if there is an improvement in it's reliability i will really be jumping up and down and sending thank you letters to insulet! happy new podding to everyone else! amy

Fun!! I'm glad Jacob got them and likes them as much as it sounds like!

Congrats to Jacob on his new pods. I was lucky in that I started with them a little less than a month ago, so I have nothing to compare them with. But I do like the thinner, sleeker, smaller pod and the pdm is unobtrusive too. I'm not a big fan of having to confirm it is mine every time I stick in a strip and have errored out many strips already. But it is a small price to pay.

I started my new pods last week. I've had too many issues...... every time I prime, seems my first 2 stop delivery and I try new one. Third one usually seems to work for some reason. Also, these new pods hurt on my arms or wherever I put them. They also leave a mark and bump after removing......... I'm not happy, want to go back to the old pods.......

that's funny, i have the opposite experience. I think the new pods are 100x better.

I am hoping to get on the Pod soon - as a tubing break. Waiting to hear from my local rep (I was just at the endo today and she will contact them). They have the Cut the Cord program still.
