a new pump is coming out. it call tandem look some like the cellnovo. go to www.tandemdiabetes.com to see it
hmm, looks interesting! However not much information listed on availability on the US market, probably it will be in market by summer 2012, same as the others (Jewel, Solo…)
no sometime in 2011
The “t slim” concept is a slim tubed pump with touchscreen and rechargeable battery. The lack of 510k clearance and info on their site suggests it is early in development and a long ways coming. The Solo maybe in 2012 or the Jewel maybe in 2013 are much sooner alternatives.
I spoke to a Medtronic rep yesterday and I guess they have some new tech coming out in the next year or so including a tubless style pump. That is all she would say she wouldn’t go into more details
Forgot about MM. Lots of good things on the horizon: solo, MM, Jewel, cell novo, and tandem are all in the mix. Omnipod is the trail-blazer but has shown there is room for improvement to make a tubeless pump that has reliability and cost on par with tubed systems. We are in the middle of a pump revolution!
cell Novo?
caliba medical inc. has a new finesse insulin patch.just got clearance from fda. my dr. told me medtronic will be tubless. there going to be new and butter pump come out.
It’s a “semi-tubeless” pump. A regular infusion site connects to a small pump that tapes on your body. The tube is very short. The controller is wireless and has touchscreen. Pretty slick like the Jewel.
I don’t think its even in FDA approval process, so it is a long ways off.
