New To This! Seeking Diabetic Teens To Talk To

Hello my name is Keyana. I want to find some people that I can talk to and share my experiences with. I also want to get some questions answered that I am worried about.

Hi I'm Willow. I would love to talk and hear your experiences. I don't know if I will be able to help with your questions but you can still ask and I will try to answer.

Hello willow can i start out by asking how old are you? Do you have a pump, if so what kind?

I'm 16 years old and I do not have a pump.

Ok do you take shots? and which kind? How many times a day?

Thanks I have sent you a friend request.

Yes, I use a pen (Humalog). It varies from 5 or so to 10 or 12.

OH ok I use a pen now in the process of trying to get a pump. I take the Humalog Mix (75/25). However I only take it twice a day.

Hello ya'll!! I'm 18 and would love to help ya'll out! I'm currently using the insulin pump. At the moment though I'm not on my babe :( sadly she has some cracks and need a replacement, so I'm using the Homalog pen for now. Feel free to friend or message me! I'll help as much as I can!!

Hi, I'm Olivia. I'm 15 and have had Type One since I was nine. I use needles for Novolog and Lantus.

LOLOL, no no. Join the crew! :D

Hi KeeBear! Iv'e had diabetes for almost 9 years now so I would love to answer a few questions for you! Welcome to the family of diabetics!

Hi Keyana, well firstly I'd like to welcome you to the site. I was diagnosed with type 1 Diabetes on the 29th of December 2012 so I basically spent the first 5 months of 2013, getting used to the disease. I was absolutely horrified when I was diagnosed and believed my life was over but this feeling of hopelessness and negativity faded within the first two months and I was back to feeling like myself in no time. Diabetes is now second nature to me and I honestly smile when I look at how far I've come. Message me if you have any questions as I'd love to answer and give advice. :)
