Didn't sleep very well last night.. thought the several glasses of wine with a friend in the evening would help.. but it didn't. Just kind of emotional... excited but nervous, ready but not..
I've must've read my list of things to take with me to the Doctor's appointment 10 times..
My sugars have been running pretty low this last week.. I wonder if I should email my Doctor that so they know before I go in my for appointment today.
We have about a 30 minute drive to the office and thought we could go out to dinner after my appointment.. I worry if I should "eat out" the first meal after starting the pump..
Wow, I just want to tell my inner voice to shut the hell up already!
I've read a lot of stuff on here already, as if to prepare for a final exam at school. I've read the instruction manual and after this I am going to go to the website and look at their pre-training information.
I feel like I'm as ready as I'm going to be. Wish me luck.
Good luck! Starting a new pump can be exciting and a bit nerve racking at the same time. But, it seems as though you have been prepping well. I have been on the omni pod for 6 years and it is awesome! If it is your first pump, it is easy to use and understand. Also, don't block that inner voice, it's healthy! Good luck tomorrow, don't worry! Also, eat to your heart's (or should I say maximum bolous') delight! You will/do deserve it! Keep us posted!
My first day was yesterday. So far I'm very excited. In 24 hours I've already learned that I've got a lot more to learn. I shouldn't be surprized, but alas I'm not as well seasoned as I expected. I'm 40 years as a type 1, so I know a lot about diabetes. But the pump really is different in a lot of ways. Going to be exciting I think. As, today I already feel better than I have in a long time.
