Hi all! First post here. If there's a general introduction thread or forum somewhere I should post in to introduce myself, Point me in that direction and I'll be glad to tell you all about myself.
I've been using the Insulet Omni Pod pump for about 3 years now and am generally happy with the pump and it's operation.
My health insurance company is United Health Care and Insulet does not contract with them so I am unable to get my pump supplies directly from Insulet. Since I've started using the pump, I've received my pump supplies from Edgepark. At first their customer service and overall quality was ok, but for the past 18 months or so, it has gone drastically down hill.
The amount of effort I have to put in to get Edgepark to send me my pump supplies is, in my opinion, way too high and after a rather frustrating interaction with them today, I must make a change.
I called Insulet and while I can't get my supplies from them directly, they were able to give me the names of a handful of other suppliers I can get my pump stuff through. The problem is that I don't know anything about any of these companies. I've been a type 1 for nearly 40 years and in that time have dealt with most of the mail order pharmaceutical companies so I know the struggles we all go through to get out diabetes supplies.
I'm just looking for any recommendations from other Omni Pod users who are happy with the company they get their pods from.
