Omnipod Vs Medtronic 630G

I got the Medtronic 630G about 2 months ago before I knew about the Omnipod. The tubes are very annoying for me, and now I’m stuck in a problem. Would it be possible to return the Pump or exchange it? Also does anyone know if Omnipod is covered by Medicaid NJ?

Have you contacted the sales rep or someone at Medtronic to find out if there is a trial period?

I think Omnipod has a “cut the cord” program where you can purchase the PDM very cheap (~ $200 or so). You might be better off doing this, and that way if you don’t like it you will still have your much more expensive Medtronic. Other than the tubing, do you find it works well for you? I have used both for years. I liked being tube-free on the Omnipod but didn’t find it as reliable, and over time this drove me to go back to my Medtronic. Some people have no issues with it and have more reliability problems on tubed pumps though, so it’s hard to know until you have tried both.
