I’ve also been reading @Dave26’s post about getting it directly to a smartwatch with the android wear xDrip plus. It seems you still need the phone for setting up the sensor, but it seems that you can leave the phone behind teh rest of the time and the watch will continue displaying and collecting the sensor data.
