just letting everyone know my daughter is still on 1st generation
omnipod.our warranty has expired. oops didnt realize this.called insulet to see about new pods.talked to three different people from insulet who were very nice. we get my daughters pods from edgepark med supply. we have carefirst bcbs of MD. my daughters PDM came from insulet. apparently her new PDM and new smaller pods will come from edgepark. the order is in. just has to go through insurance comp now. If it is approved, edgepark says they have the new PDMs and smaller pods. YEAHH!!!! were so freaking excited!
That's great news! Did insulet send you a notice that it was time to switch to the new pods or did u initiate the change by calling?
I talked to Edgepark last week on the reorder of my son's pods. They tried to place the order after an hr back and forth on the phone they realized that they only have the new PDM's (since March) but new pods wont be at edgepark from insulet until the beginning of April. So for me to expect my order in April to switch then. I have been doing month to month since January. She said we will get a contact notice first.
we called insulet.but because we get pods from edgepark , insulet said call edgepark to place order. edgepark says they have both in stock.will see.
i called thurs march 14 an edgepark said they have both the pods and pdm.maybe their expecting our insurance comp to take a long time to approve. will see.heaven knows insulet and edgepark and insurance companies are a pain in the ---!
That is too funny, we talked to them on tuesday March 12th. Well lets just hope its soon!
