OT- Endo Recommendation in Bay Area?

Hey Ladies,
I recently moved to Fremont in the San Francisco bay area. Just thought I would see if any of you happen to have a local endo that you can recommend? I would especially appreciate an endo who helped you manage diabetes through pregnancy. Thanks!

Hello, i am T1 since 2008; was diagnosed at 28 weeks in my first pregnancy. I went on to have twins in 2011. Here is who helped me through my diabetes (ENDO) and pregnancies (OB).

Pregnancy #1: OB Jan T Rydfors, MD Bay Area Fertility and Pregnancy Specialists in Redwood City CA. High risk OB. Has a good understanding of diabetes in pregnancy. Don't settle for one of his partners (i am sure they are all fine) but Dr Rydfors is known far and wide as one of the best OBs in the Bay Area. He is also, in my opinion, the very best fertility specialist around. ENDO was Jeffrey Faig, MD through Lucile Packard Childrens hospital Maternal Fetal Medicine department. Dr Faig is fabulous. He is dual certified in ENDO and OB. Let me know if you need specific contacts.

Pregnancy #2: OB Jagdip (Jags) Powar, MD located at 1101 Welch Road A-7 Palo Alto. Ok, Dr Powar is absolutely amazing. High risk with many multiples born under his care. He is in private practice. Runs on time, very kind, calming, "zen" way about him. ENDO during my twins was again, Dr Jeff Faig. Just as fabulous the second time around. He sees many women with complex pregnancies. I was always seen in his "pregnant with diabetes" clinic. He has tons of experience with T1 T2 GD and pumps, singletons and multiples. He is dual certified in ENDO and OB. That is not easy to find!

If you ever want to chat or meet, let me know. It is always great to meet others from tuDiabetes. If you need to reach me directly, please do not hesitate to call me at 650-346-4932.

Best,

Wow Melissa, thank you so much for your helpful response! I was on vacation for the past few weeks so I only just read your response now. It's funny, my 8 month old son has actually seen the pediatrician in Dr. Rydfors's office, Dr. Nasta. We have been very impressed with her so far. I have read very good things about Dr. Rydfors, so I'll definitely have to try to get in and see him. Also thank you for the Endo rec! I've been procrastinating a bit with finding a local endo, so I do appreciate your giving me a starting point. Dual certification in Endo and OB is indeed tough to find!
Regards,
Lauren :)
