Problems knowing where my BS is at

So I have been having problems lately with headaches and it affects whether I can tell if my BS is high or low. I always feel high but when I check my BS is perfect and I don’t feel lows until I’m in the 40s or 50s. Has anyone had a similar problem before or any ideas? This is the first time in over 8 years that I can’t tell what my BS is doing and in all honesty it scares the hell out of me.

I’m starting to have the same issues. I thought I was high earlier today . Luckily I checked before deciding to take a nap cause I was at 77.This has happened to me a few times over the past week or so. I have had diabetes 22 years and could always tell if I was high or low. I used to get headaches when my BG was beginning to hit the 250’s and now I can’t tell I’m high until it’s at 300 or more.I actually hit 520 the other morning. I woke up and did my regular test, twice because I couldn’t believe it.Luckily I didn’t get very sick, just really exhausted. i go from feeling fine to suddenly feeling like crap. The only solution I have found so far is to test and test often. It sux though because you feel unprepared for possible emergencies since you can no longer really tell what is going on.

Perhaps T1 ad T2 are different in this regard. I am T2 and I can’t tell what my blood glucose measurement is going to be. I try and predict it based on how feel, (trying to learn the feeling associated with a high or low), and I am wrong as much a I am right. So, except for an extreme low, I have no clue until I take the measurement.
