Problems logging in ... AFTER you have already successfully logged in moments ago!

Continuing the discussion from Please Report TuDiabetes Website Issues:

Could you be provide more details about what context you were using Tu Diabetes when this happened for you? What type of computer or device? What web browser were you using and, if it’s not clear from the context, some info on what version of the browser?

I also have experienced the “log-in” button as well as the “log-in to reply” button showing up again & again & again after I had supposedly already successfully logged in to Tu moments earlier. In each case I press the “log in” button and then I am “voila” logged in. I’m not prompted for my password. My status just changes to “logged in”.)

But then it happens all over again when I move on to look at anther discussion topic. It happens intermittently, but frequently. Sometimes I’ll press the log in button and immediately be logged in. Other times, nothing changes. Those times I am eventually logged in until after pressing the button a few times.

However, this has only happened to me when I am using the latest version of the Chrom browser on iPad running iOS 8.3. When I use Chrome on my Windows 7 desktop computer I have so far never experienced this problem. It only seems to happen in the context of my iPad.

Tu Diabetes does seem to have worked out some sort of strange hybrid sign in process that appears (to me) to be shared with WordPress in some way. Perhaps it is not yet working correctly in all situations?

I am using the Chrome browser in Windows 7. I did try pressing the LogIn button, but it just reappeared - no change in ‘status’ until I went to the Home screen, then back to the discussion groups.

I also have noticed that the “Log In” box appears suggesting that I am logged out but if I click on the top to go to the discussion forums I am magically logged back in. It is a bit of a glitch, hopefully it goes away.

I forgot to mention in my Support post and PM to Emily_Coles my particulars for similar issues:

OS: Windows 8.1 x64 (Desktop Mode)
Browser: Internet Explorer 11 (Desktop Mode)
Internet Provisioning: Cable Modem Broadband, 35 MB/ps Download, 2.5 MB/ps Upload.

This “logged in/out” thing is just getting annoying.

I am on an Apple MacBook Pro OSX 10.9.5, using the Chrome browser (latest version).

Rant - I’m in, I’m out, I’m in, I’m out, I’m out, I’m in … really?

Like Thas reported, I will start at the home page and I’m in, go to the discussions page and I’m out, click the log in button and … I’m out (still), click it again and sometimes I’m out (still), sometimes I’m in. Click on a discussion and I’m in, then click to reply and I’m out.

The only reason I then figure out that I’m out is because when I finish typing my reply, I don’t have a Reply button to click on.

Same thing happened to me last night, thought some glitch had thrown me off the system. Did not try going back to the Home page since I was ready to go to sleep anyway. I am using Safari on an iPad OS 8.3.

With one of the most recent updates some of the login issues have been fixed. Previously, if you came to the discussion forums either from the homepage or by going back to the top by selecting the it would log you out. If you returned to the top via <img src="/uploads/default/36795/c2c789948957740d.png" width=“160” height=“29” then you would remain logged in.

It appears this issue is fixed. If anyone sees it again, please report it.

I am having the same problem and it has not gone away.

Just now it logged me out, for the umpteenth time today. There was a difference this time, when I clicked the “Log in” button, my icon appeared and I was logged in. Although slight, it was an improvement from when I would click on the “Log in” and nothing would happen.

I’ve

I have had it switch back and forth between logging me back in with the login button and nothing happening. I have at times had to go to ‘Home’ to log back in, at times ‘LogOut’ and at times, just hit the ‘LogIn’ button. It’s too inconsistent so far to identify a pattern,

Reporting that I am seeing it again, while typing this I am looking @ “Log In”. When I clicked on that button after the last period (.), I am now logged in.
