Hey, all. I’m a long-time Pod user, but am currently trying out a loaner Medtronic pump. I’m using MMT393 QuickSets with the pump, but have had a few instances of insulin coming out of the hole the insertion needle goes through on the back of the set. These were old sets a local PWD had (expiration date of 2018-06) but I have no idea how they were stored (in the heat/cold, etc.) Has anyone seen this happen in the past? I have a new box of insets on order to switch over to later in the week, but I couldn’t find anything on a Google search, so I thought I’d check here.

I have not and I have used quick sets for 16 years
My Endo and my husband tells me they’re smelling my insulin. I have no idea where it’s leaking from. I’ll keep an eye on that area you pointed out.
I have used quicksets for a long time and have never had that problem. Kinking on the other hand…
Hi I’ve been having this exactly problem for months now. When it happens is always after I change the infusion set. Some times it happens with three or five sets in a row. It’s been driving me crazy. My health insurance don’t pay for the sets and it’s very expansive in Brasil.
If anyone have a suggestion on how to avoid it please share.
