Has this happened to anyone else?
I was doing a change tonight of both my reservoir and my infusion set. I use 3mL reservoirs and Quick-Set infusion sets.
I filled the reservoir to about 280. Primed my pump, put in new reservoir…and it kept giving me no delivery errors. Would rewind and try to do it again, over and over, to no avail. Finally pulled reservoir out, reattached plunger and the needle on the top, and pushed out about 20 units of insulin onto floor. I’ve found that once before, this seemed to fix the problem. Reservoir went back into the pump with the tubing attached.
Priming still didn’t get me any further than a no delivery error. I figured it had to be the tubing, so I attached my old tubing, which I still had sitting next to me, to the new reservoir…FINALLY my pump would prime.
I changed my infusion set, but am using my 3-day old tubing.
Argh! Very frustrated. I can’t wait until I get my Animas Ping in 8 days. I know this wouldn’t solve infusion set problems, but still - things always seem to be going wrong with my Paradigm lately and I’m just kind of jaded with Minimed right now.
Yes, I used to have the same issues with the Quicksets. I had to switch to the Sure-Ts for kinking problems with the Quicksets and haven’t had any priming problems with them so far. But I would get at least one in a box of Quicksets that wouldn’t prime and had to use my old tubing instead.
