Randomness - What are you reading

Christopher Moore- You Suck

Hmm. Cisco Press, Working at a Small-to-Medium Business or ISP and LabSim Security + manual. Classes have me so sewed up that I dont have time to read anything other than tech new on the phone!

I am thinking of getting my Emily Dickinson out to look for inspiration for paintings. Reading romantic novels right now as calming bedtime stuff.

Android Pro 2 (boring boring boring)
The silent boy (Kids book but it is a good story and I recommend it)

I am reading thinking like a pancreas.

The Shameless Carnivore: A Manifesto for Meat Lovers by Scott Gold (http://www.amazon.com/Shameless-Carnivore-Manifesto-Meat-Lovers/dp/076792651X/)

Oooooh…I’m getting ready to grill my (raised without antibiotics, blah, blah) steak. I have a daughter who has been a vegetarian since childhood, but I crave red meat. Do I need to read this?

Looking for a good book! I just finished and enjoyed The Lacuna.

American Gods by Neil Gaiman

Just finished a nice escapist novel fitting into a long series–A River in the Sky, by Elizabeth Peters, and a REALLY escapist novel, White Lies, by Jayne Ann Krentz.

Oh almost forgot. Diabetes Solution by Dr. Dick Bernstein.

I enjoy Michael Pollan’s writing more, but it is an interesting culinary exploration of different kinds of meat, like rabbit, frogs legs and snake. Personally, I’d forgo a desert for a well prepared grass fed steak.

just reread that one

My husband’s new manuscript. Shameless fan that I am, I’m loving the novel.

If that doesn’t count, I’m almost done with Love Stories, Sex Between Men Before Homosexuality. Fascinating book about 19th century male relationships.

Astrology book: The Inner Sky by Steve Forrest

“A Short History of Nearly Everything”. Bill Bryson Sort of a short history of scientific discoveries and the people who made them told in short vignettes. He also wrote a book I liked “In a Sunburned Country”, a travelogue about Australia. I’d be interested if any Aussie members had an opinion on that one.

Haven’t seen that one yet.

Lewis - it an old book from the 80s that is why  - copyright 1988. It an indepth book on astrology. How to interept and read natal chart, houses, planet, signs, aspects…etc. Full title: The Inner Sky: The Dynamic New Astrology for Everyone. I am trying to figure out how to read and interept charts (mostly to figure out why my life is so crappy! LOL). Unless you are an astrology geek or want to be one - probably wouldn’t interest you.

Judith - not a poetry book. Although it is written very nicely.

Next I read Skymates by same authoer. Romance and Astrology. hahaha! Of course could take me a while since I am a procrasinating type of reader.

Great book!
