I use Edgepark and have never had a problem. When you call always ask for the Diabetes department.
They have a recurring order process called “ContinueCare” which will automatically order your Omnipods and Dex sensors which is very nice.
Good luck!!!
I’ve used McKesson (used to be called Sterling) for many years with no issues.
Steer clear of Byrum. They are the most disorganized company I’ve come across in a long time. I was trying to refill Dexcom sensors.
They coded in my diagnosis as t2 instead of t1 and then blamed my doctor for a misdiagnosis. The doctors notes told a different story. The mistake was clearly byrum’s. This went on for four more months even after they admitted it was their mistake. Glad I had plenty of supplies and was not waiting for their shipment.
I can’t believe they’re still in business.
Avoid Byram like the plague. I ended up sending my whole Dexcom system back to them because they messed up so bad, and my doctor refused to work with them anymore. Even NOW they still keep bugging me wanting me to re-order after multiple scathing emails and phone calls and demands to be on a no-contact list. These people are like herpes - you can’t get rid of them once you have them, and they don’t do anything to help you while they’re around. It took 21 days, and threats of "I have dealt with Social Security Disability. It took me 2 years, a lawyer, and getting my Congressman’s office involved to get it sorted but I won. YOU WILL NOT WIN THIS. I will call you, your supervisor, and your supervisor’s supervisor daily if not hourly if I have to… " (and following through on that) to get a return label which it turns out they could just email me - then they sent me 3 different ones.
I use Pumps It Inc., out of Houston. I absolutely LOVE them. They’re a small group, 1 pharmacist and an assistant or two who always calls me. Mark’s actually the one that straightened out the mess that Byram had made that got my Dexcom denied by my insurance in the first place (Byram ran it as durable medical instead of prescription.) Pumps It Inc. is a sponsor for Dr. Ponder’s “Sugar Surfing” book, and the owner works with the Texas Lion’s Camp for kids with diabetes.
I’ve been using Liberty ever since Medicare stopped allowing us to use Medtronic. I’ve had no problems with Liberty…they call me when it’s time for a refill, they ship in a timely manner, and the one time I had a question, I called and got a direct answer without having to go through voice mail hell or waiting forever for someone to actually answer.

I have been using Byram – and I agree that they can be difficult at times. I like that they have an auto-shipment option, but other than that, I agree that they aren’t my first choice. I started with them originally when I was ONLY given them as an option by my insurance company. I stayed with them, because they helped me get past some insurance company problems, for which I am grateful. I only get Dexcom supplies from them.
I get my pump supplies from Foundation Care out of Missouri and have been quite happy with them - Have considered sending my Dexceom scripts to them.
@Thas They must like you, because they were certainly nasty and duplicitous with me. I have never been treated like they treated me by someone who wanted me to buy something from them.
They have multiple offices – I must have somehow gotten lucky to get one that could help me out. I know that I have to call within certain hours, or I won’t get anyone who can work with my file…
I use Edgepark, with no problems. There was some issues with my insurance at the beginning and they took the initiative to work with my doctor and insurance company to get things squared away.
I have used Byram for several years without any problems.
I get pump and dexcom DME from them.
I had one billing issue, after my insurance had the wrong balance for my deductible, so it was not their fault. But took a while to clear up, and get my insurance and them to agree on solution, and get my balance to zero.
Thanks for the replies. I called Pumps It Inc, but they are not in network for UHC, so I went with Edgepark. I am all set up with them now and will place my first order today.
Liberty has been a complete nightmare to deal with!! When ordering regular diabetes supplies like needles and testing strips, the order process is easy and they do follow up with reminders when you are due for reorder. Generally these orders run smoothly…BUT once you start needing other supplies like a CGM continual glucose monitor and/or any pump related supplies you can forget any customer service. They do NOTHING to ensure your order is handled appropriately. You MUST get involved and push them every step of the way to get all the required details of the authorization process with your insurance handled. They DO NOT notify you of any delays. You simply NEVER receive your order. It is stressful to call, be transferred many times to a different rep, have to give your name and details to each new person they transfer you to, then find out after all that…that your order is stuck in the system and no one planned to tell you. Right now I have a CGM I cannot use, because Liberty is still not doing their job in pushing my order through for my transmitters. What if this were a pump supply…a life sustaining device? I say stay far far away from Liberty!! My concern would be… are their companies out there who handle this appropriately where you do not need to be involved in every step of your order?? I just don’t know. Anyone dealt with a company who can handle CGM amd pump supplies without so much aggravation and worry I would LOVE a referral.
