Research from Columbia university

Many of you remember that in the past we worked closely with Columbia University and support them in their research. Here is another opportunity to help!

Dear member of the TuDiabetes community!

We would like to invite you to participate in a research study!

A group of researchers from the Department of Biomedical Informatics of Columbia University is conducting a study of the TuDiabetes community. We are interested in understanding users’ attitudes, motivations, and behaviors, patterns of interaction, and types of conversations that occur in the forum. As part of the study we are inviting members of the TuDiabetes community to participate in such activities as individual interviews conducted over phone or skype. We may also ask members to look at the design sketches of new tools that might be introduced within the TuDiabetes forum and ask for their feedback. We hope the study can be fun, and will help us learn more about the community. We also hope to design new tools that will make your experience on TuDiabetes more engaging.

If you are interested in taking part in the study, please contact the study investigators:

Lena Mamykina, Ph.D. (Assistant Professor, Columbia University):
Drashko Nakikj, MPhil (PhD student, Columbia University):

I think there are 2 letters on the email addresses transposed - cumc and cucm.

I think they should both be for Columbia University Medical Center.
