LoL. I have had 2 screamers now and only a month on the pod. my boyfriend was present for the last one, and his exact words were " what the BEEEEEP is that"
I do not get screamers too often, but besides sticking them in the freezer (which at least suffocates the pod until it defrosts) we have a box full of pins (which is not a foolproof method) which we use to stab it in the heart (like a vampire!)
On the top side of the pump (outward facing side) there is a small indentation on the side of the yellowish circle that is translucent on the pod. Stick the pin (stake) in the there a wiggle, the scream will change to a moan until it subsides (sometimes it moans again if you take out the pin).
Sounds very zombie/vampire like of the pod (sorry just finished watching the sunday night vampire/zombie shows) but freezer or stake are the methods that work for me.
There's a simple solution for screamers: a hammer! That will teach them.
LOL freezer works for me, and will be safe... lol I am a natural born klutz, Me and hammers should not even be in the same vincinity lol
My FIRST EVER POD was a screamer...My Grandma (who's house I was at) tried running it over with her cadillac to get it to ■■■■ up- and it didn't work!
My first Pod (tryout with saltywater) was a screemer when filling it. Statistically I was in de clear for a long time. But the second one did not gave two beeps. I was still convident to start using the Omnipod. And now after one year I started the 2e generation. The last 1st generation Pod started screaming after I took it of. So a good finisch. I used 126 pod's and had 16 replaced bij Omnipod. (4 screamers) I stop them with a paperclip or take the batteries out.
The first 2nd generation gave a oclussion after 2 hours.
But I stll love it. Great pump system. Nice bloodsugars.
LOL sorry that is just funny
oh geez sounds like 2nd gen is going a grand slam
