Thanks, Trisha.
Bikette,
You are right about question #5. I put a little crossed-out thingy on the post by Emily. Actually it was my mistake (I was the one that sent her the copy!)
Gerri,
You guys are going faster than I can keep up (and I am slower than usual, b/c I am sick with a cold).
The historical data we had, as a result of the changes to questions over time had generated a massive chaos that led us to the decision to do a fresh start with a new question.
Inserting the new question, we removed the previous one, which resulted in the disappearance of the types from people’s pages.
We have scheduled a newsletter tomorrow morning, to tell members to please update their profile registration questions.
Trisha,
Unfortunately we only have the option of asking for full dates. Not asking for the year of Dx is not an option.
As for the combination of Type 1 and Type 1.5 (LADA) we looked at the data and found that very few people (by comparison) were using the separate option. Still, we wanted to put it in as a type (I myself am a LADA patient) and there is still the space to “Tell us more about yourself” for people to elaborate as they see fit, whether it is talking about their type, their Dx, their job, their blog, additional web sites, etc.
Does that make sense?
Thanks, Manny.
Put your hands in the air & walk slowly away from computer:) Get some rest & feel better soon.
Gerri, In the middle of the morning today 9/7, I just updated my profile to get it back
Is the “Country” field going to be used for something else (like to map out members geographically)? If not, I’d probably leave it as an open text box rather than a drop down. There are so many countries, and it can be a chore to find yours in the list. It’s a minor issue, but from someone who has filled out enough online forms in his lifetime, it’s a real pain (admittedly, one that someone has to go through only once).
OK, put mine back too. I really can’t say when I was diagnosed (long story) except for the season and the year, so I made up the month/day LOL
OH yeah, and thanks for the work on this team TuD! Thanks for listening
knowing how long the person has had t1 or t2 & at what age
