Thank You and almost content-free

My endo called me last night to share my latest A1c = 6.6. My diaversity was May 1. This is absolutely my lowest in 42 years. I have been beaming since the call (turn the lights out and you can see the glow).

I am Type 1 (MDI) on Lantus and Apidra. What I wanted to share was that the nature of the discussions on Tudiabetes was what got me that result. There was no single "aha" but the cumulative experience and wisdom provided me with paths to follow. If anybody ever doubts the value of their texts - don't. The context and depth of the discussions are special.

Now if I could just lose 50 lbs...

Wow! Great job!! I'd argue that it's your hard work that got the result, not a bunch of stuff on the internet but I guess I know what you mean!! I dropped off some blood yesterday and will be on pins and needles until Friday.

Congratulations beechbeard! Great accomplishment ;) Wondered what that weird glow was....

I couldn't agree more about the value of TuD. I was mis-dx T2 when I found the site, and the info here was what gave me the knowledge and ammunition to find out that I'm T1, and finally get my BG under control. What a gift ;)

Congratulations; I agree with both AR and jrtpup: You did a great thing and most of us on TuD do it "with a little help from our friends" Great job!

We often take great care to acknowledge how each of our diabetes may vary. I think the more powerful, yet somehow more timid, truth is that we share strong similarities. The knowledge that someone else with the same diagnosis actually succeeded employing a certain technique energizes us to believe in our potential and then make crucial efforts. Belief in the dream precedes success.

I agree. The cumulative experience and wisdom of this community combined with the determined efforts and persistence of an individual is the magic ingredient for success.

We're all so quick to underline that our experience may differ from each other. The glue that binds us, no matter how much we try to disclaim, is our belief that we share much more than we differ!

Your "almost content free" post is actually the essence of this community. Congratulations on your success!
