As a new member of the tudiabetes family, I’d like to thank you for making me feel welcomed. This was a pleasant surprise. I can honestly say that I wasn’t expecting the type of reception I received.
January 2nd will be the 12th anniversary of me being released from the hospital, after spending 8 days in there.
One of my earliest post-diagnosis memories is of me sitting on my bed all alone and starring out of my window at the leafless trees. I felt vulnerable. I felt alone. Unfortunately, the profound loneliness I felt on that day would stay with me.
Back then, I would have died for a place like tudiabetes! I am grateful that such a place exists now. Due to my own experiences, I’m convinced that we’re touching many lives - or, at the very least, making the burden of living with diabetes lighter.
In conclusion, I’d like to thank Manny Hernandez for having the vision & volition to create such a friendly community; the staff and volunteers who make sure this site runs smoothly; and, last but least, all of YOU, who each contribute to the welcoming atmosphere of tudiabetes.
Thanks for describing your thoughts and feelings about your own life so well. And thanks for expressing so clearly the appreciate that is felt by this community for Manny and the wonderful staff here who make this haven possible for so many!
James it was my pleasure to Welcome you and tell you all the good things you will find here. This site as I have said before saved my life and I am happy I found it, It will bring blessings to you too. Reed
