Thanks for the welcome

Wow! Thank you everyone, thank you for welcoming me to this community. I haven’t been on here since I signed on, so haven’t really had a chance to explore. What a nice welcome to open up to.
When I first signed on, I was having tremendous trouble (Diabetic 1 for 30 yrs …wow! that long!!)

I started with the OmniPod in spring, had some adjustment issues, then a good period, really good, even traveled through time zones with it. Then late summer I must have had a terrible batch of Pods as I kept having errors on them and it was tremendousbly disruptive to my life for 2 months straight. I took a 1 week break from the Pod; am back on it now and have had three excellent pods, so feeling better about it (despite the really high highs when I had all those problems, my overall A1C was SOOO much better still)

I have now started a little regiment on my own, where I actually take a tiny bit of long-acting at night time, ALONG with my pod, just to eliminate the extreme highs you run into, when you don’t have long-acting in your system…it seems to be working so far.

Thank you again for welcoming me. Today is my birthday, so I won’t spend a lot of time exploring the site today, but I will soon, as you give me a good feeling.
Thank you
Sincerely
Be well,
Maria
