2pm 120mg/dl, 14minutes of power walking, 2:14 97mg/dl
111 BS. Didn’t exercise. Did not want my blood sugar to drop, and had no food with me at 2pm when I took BS test.
- I did not exercise after that reading. Have been very active today and not surprised that my level was a little low. Spent all morning doing various stuff in the yard. Feel real good.
Before exercise 161
After 14 minutes of walking 168
My BG always goes up immediately after exercise, as much as 80-100 if I am going for an hour or more.
ME WALKING!!! It is a BEAUTIFUL day here in Tampa, FL. 75 degrees, nice breeze, sun is shinin’! Listening to great music & taking a nice 14 minute stroll outside my condo. http://pic.gd/5d2be0 http://bigbluetest.org #bigbluetest #wdd09 #bgnow Pre- 141. 14 minute walk on #worlddiabetesday Post- 142. Never fails, BG always goes UP right after exercise. HAPPY WORLD DIABETES DAY!!
100 exactly! YAYYYYYY!
I was at 148mg/dl (8.2 mmol/l) at 2:08 PM EST after lunch and after having a 58mg/dl (3.2 mmol/l) before lunch.
Went for an outdoor run (bad idea today with my asthma – too cold and too damp; going uphill at full-tilt was an even worse idea) at about 2:20, got back at 2:48 PM – at 63 mg/dl (3.5 mmol/l).
Just a reminder to everyone: Don’t be like me and do some exercise that will aggravate a second condition or will leave you low!
And so no one panics, I am coming up from the 63. Just tested (3:01 PM) and am at 70 (3.8). Makes me happy to see that!

WOW… This is awesome. I tested at 129 before exercise and after my reading was 125. It would have been better if I had been able to get the full 14 minutes of exercise in, but today just happened to be one of those days when my arthritis reared it’s ugly head. I keep on keeping on though. :o)
I know it’s only noon out here on the west coast and I know I’m supposed to do this at 2pm. However, I just returned from the WDD Bike Ride in Victoria, BC and figured I’d count those numbers toward the Big Blue Test.
Pre-ride: 9.6mmol/L (1.5 hours post-breakfast)
Post-ride: 4.0mmol/L (yay post-ride snacks!)
p.s. The ride and WDD is going to be featured on our local A Channel news tonight at 6pm!!
Just took BS again at 3 pm… 66 now…treating for low. Do not know what happened.
Hi from Olathe, KS 1st reading was 160, did 14 mins of jump rope and resistance and 2nd reading was 94! SO amazing what exercise can do. To quote Mr. Milton from yesterday’s luncheon. . Exercise IS medicine. He said he now eats sanely and exercises frequently. I’d like to paraphrase to say, I eat sanely and exercise INSANELY!

A great activity to do for your 14 minutes of activity during the big blue test: dance to this song by George and Cherise!
BG dropped from 170 to 124 mg/dL in 13 minutes of running stairs fast enough to almost choke on my gum, plus 3 sets each of fast situps and pushups. I even found out how to get on the roof of the factory I work in by running all the way to the top of the staircase a few times. Dropped to 111 mg/dL after 5 mins of rest.
Before Activity: 162
After Activity: 116
14 minutes on treadmill (walking/jogging)
89 before, 2 glucose tabs, walked dog 14 minutes, 77 now, feeling a drop in my future, but it is a BEAUTIFUL Blue skies day in NC!
