This Sunday, DO the Big Blue Test: help yourself, help others

Dear members of the TuDiabetes family,
This Sunday, please remember to DO the Big Blue Test: www.bigbluetest.org.

We are trying to reach 8,000 participants by World Diabetes Day, Nov. 10, and so far have gotten just over 800.

Each test = a life-saving donation. Only 14-20 minutes of your time, doing exercise will help your blood sugars and help another person with diabets in need.

Thanks for helping yourselves and helping others!

hey Manny, yesterday I did the BigBlueTest twice, I took a 20 minute walk by myself and then Ed and I went for another later in the afternoon. Today, we decided to walk around the lake, which is almost 3 miles, it took an hour, and it definitely lowered my bg (which needed a lowering) by almost 100. My goal this week is to do the BigBlueTest EVERY day.

Don’t forget to tell your friends and family they can participate even if they don’t have D - and no testing!

Marie, yesterday I discovered shopping is one of the best exercises for me

I mentioned the TEST yesterday to an audience of over 150 attendants at the Kamloops CDA’s Expo …am not sure if I expressed myself correctly , due to : Expo was running into overtime :frowning: …I will sent an e-mail to the organizers and explain more .
PS WDD Nov. 14 …Dr. Banting’s Birthday ???

@Marie: I am trying to also do the Big Blue Test every day. Today, I did some heavy hoola-hooping, followed by some vigorous dancing!

@Nel: thanks so much for getting the word out. Indeed, Nov. 14 is Dr. Banting’s b-day! (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frederick_Banting)

@jrtpup: shopping can do wonders for your BGs!

Oh, cool idea. I will definitely share this. Going to fill it out too.
