The eyes have it

I was told by Betsy in the diabetics courses that it is important to have my eyes checked. Sat. I have an appt. Went to the Dr. today and he was glad I lost 15 lbs. My blood sugar has been good lately. (knock on wood). My vision has been blurry lately. My Hubby used to call me “eagle eyes”. lol At one time my blood sugar was 367 and I was sick as a dog. I’m sooo glad things are getting better! Thank God.

When I was dx’ed my eyes got better, because my body devoured the vitreous fluid (along w/ fat, as I’d dropped from 150 down to around 120 lbs…eeek) and my eyes changed shape and “corrected” but I didn’t realize it and couldn’t see anything through my glasses until I got into the doc and took them off. I recall it took a week or two to get them back and, during that time, I got my driver’s license thanks to my mom’s superhuman efforts and was listed as not needing glasses for about 20 years until they fixed it.

Now I am having different vision problems of needing bifocals soon I think. :frowning: I’m glad to hear your eyes are dong well!!
