Has anyone tried tofu noodles? I did last month and they weren’t bad, considering I need a substitute for pasta. A little pricey, but what isn’t that is better for us.
Pasta is only one of my really big walls. I could eat pasta 2 and 3 times a week and then some. I know I can do the spaghetti squash and zucchini, but I still found it hard.
Tofu doesn’t soak up the sauce, but it is still a good alternative without consequences.

Yes!! The kind I eat are called “tofu shiritaki noodles” and I adore them. What I like to do is melt cream cheese and some garlic over them and make my own little alfredo. Gets me through the day. Once you get used to the smell before you prepare them you’ll be away to the races. They come in all different shapes too! I first heard about them from the hungry girl cookbooks.
I haven’t eaten real pasta in years
These are the same. I saw Hungrygirl on FoodNetwork with these. (She also did broccoli slaw as pasta, but I haven’t tried that yet.)
I didn’t notice any smell, but I could have just been so excited that I didn’t notice. I did use my salad spinner with paper towels in the bottom to get all of the excess water off.
My family even thought they were okay. I will be experimenting. I love using cream cheese to make an alfredo.
Loving it.
