Lizmari posted about this recently on a discussion. Not sure if I’m remembering this correctly, but I think she included research that said vinegar supposedly increases receptivity of insulin.

Vinegar allegedly helps some with T2 insulin resistence, not T1.

It’s any vinegar, not just apple cider… and what it does is that it changes how complex carbohydrates are digested… It doesn’t really increase insulin sensitivity. That being said, the research I posted all was done with Type 2’s, and I haven’t seen any data for Type 1. http://content.karger.com/ProdukteDB/produkte.asp?Aktion=ShowAbstract&ArtikelNr=272133&Ausgabe=253713&ProduktNr=223977… It only works on complex carbs, and not on simple carbs, at all, for some reason or another… I’d say it’s certainly worth the experiment… the use of only Type 2’s could’ve been because that’s the prevalence of Diabetes cases… Your own experience will vary, of course… and this doesn’t work for everyone. Not even for some Type 2s. I find it works for me, on oven baked french fries… but not on pasta.
