Update: Good News! :o)

I am SO excited (the way that the Pointer Sisters sang it), about my “numbers”! Yes! Hope you’ll shout with me, after you’ve read the stats. Labs were done on Jan 31 (every 3 months); now, I’m permitted to have labs every 6 months! Wow! I’m patting myself on my back! lol Results today showed the following:

1/31/11:

A1c - 6.0

Cholesterol - 162 (200)

Triglycerides - 66.0 (below 150)

VLDL - 13.2 (30)

HDL - 53.0 (above 45)

LDL - 95.8 (below 100)

10/22/10:

A1c 6.4

Cholesterol - 160 (200)

Triglycerides - 75 (below 150)

HDL - 45 (above 45)

LDL - 100 (below 100)

7/15/10:
A1c - 6.4
Cholesterol - 193
Triglycerides - 68
HDL - 52
LDL - 127

Only took Metformin close to 15 days in July, and stopped! Why? After reading “peer reviewed” articles about nutritional supplements and how many people are nutrient deficient, especially “diabetic patients”, I realized that the amount of Magnesium that I was taking could very well have been causing a problem: I was deficient!

Increased the B-vitamins, esp. B-12, and various amino acids.

It was difficult to “swallow” as many supplements as I’ve been taking, until I learned “what” to take and “when” and “how much”, ensuring that I’d eaten “healthy” food before taking anything.

Thank God, it’s working!

Haven’t exercised “religiously” (every day of the week, except Sat. & Sun), since first week in Dec 2010, due to spine & knee problems; was recently cleared to walk, only (10 days ago), and have to start slow, not in a “huff”. lol

Anna,

Am so excited & happy for you! Big hugs.

Congrats!

Wow, those numbers are great…6.0 A1c that is so good:) congrats and thanks to the Vitamins:)
Keep on smiling, and take that walking slow, and spring is around the corner, right?

Progress is so motivating! Keep up the good work!

All I can say is “Wow” and big Congratulations
