I have some fabulous news. I am going to get a service dog. I found a reputable organization to go with and i am getting Gus. I think this will help me to find the balance i need. I do have to raise $7500.00 for the dog but i have raised a couple thousand already by myself. I am so happy that i will be able to have my freedom back . I am also trying some things other people have suggested. I can’t begin to explain how wonderful it has been to have the support of everyone on here. I really had some days where i was doubting i would be able to get what i needed for my hypoglycemia unawareness. I feel i have finally found a solution. I know the doctors are still messing around with my pump basals rates. I have had over 8 changes in a month and i get more out of control each time. Tarra, I’m really moved by the turnaround in your story. Almost cried as I read it and I’m not usually such a sap! I just know that you’ll get the help you need.
I am interested in seeing how this goes for you. It is an amazing concept to me. When are you thinking you will get him?
Looks like in November not sure of the exact date but i defiantly plan on blogging about my experience with Gus. I feel so lucky to be able to get a dog i want to share the information with anyone who wants to know.
