Congratulations, dear Scott and wife! :-) He is just precious!
Now here is my suggestion to all new parents. As he grows, his voice will change from an infant voice to a toddler voice, to a preschooler voice to an older child voice, all before his voice changes to a MAN voice. So be sure to make recordings of his cooing, and his gurgling and his babbling and his baby laughter, and his words, and his sentences, and his laughter (again). Later on, when you go back to the recordings, you will really enjoy remembering the sounds he made that he will never make again. OK? :-)
Thank you everyone for your congratulations and kind wishes!!
Natalie, that's a good idea. My parents have an audio cassette of me when I just began talking, and I love listening to it. I took a few short videos of my older son, including some singing as he jumped on the bed, but not enough. Unfortunately, with digital cameras and cell-phone cameras, we take so many pictures that we get overloaded and never have time to go through and sort them out. (And these days, an audio recording seems so... antiquated, I love listening to it, though. I should play it for my older son - now 4 1/2).
Jacob's mom: he does have those "sleepy boy newborn days"... he slept almost all of yesterday. Nights, on the other hand, are an entirely different story!!
Congradulations Scott!! I accidentally posted my congrats on your other post about the cgm. You can read it there!
