What did you do to quit smoking?

Hey everyone!

I hope that you’re all enjoying a wonderful spring day!

I was reading a blog entry from David Spero about why to stop smoking and I found it very interesting. He goes into great detail about smoking, dopamines, and why it’s doubly bad if you have diabetes, but he is asking for readers to comment back on how/why they quit, rather than giving reasons or suggestions.

One of the things which really struck me was he said that most people take 5-7 iterations of withdrawal before quitting for good. I’m curious, for those who do smoke or did smoke, how did you kick the habit? And did it take - like one of the people David mentions in his blog entry said - seemingly thousands of times? Feel free to comment on his article too, if you’d like.

Thanks!
