I walk 3 miles daily, well usually, when doesn’t rain, & not on the weekends. I know, I need more exercise.
I walk for one hour at 8AM most days of the week–and in all kinds of weather (just like US. postal delivery people)–with a neighbor. No weekends. Also, I mow our lawn (I can do that in one day but usually take two) and do most of the yardwork.
Some weekends and week evenings, I go to the gym with my husband. I’ve ordered a weight lifting DVD. Until it arrives, I’ll continue lifting dumbbells.
I do water aerobics 4 times a week and take a brisk 45 minute walk home every day.
I work out at the gym at least 5-6 days a week. This mornning I was in the gym by 6:30…I did 1-1/2 miles on the treadmill at 3.5 mph and at an elevation of 4. Then I did the eliptical for 1 mile. I did some weights and stick a fork in me, I was done. I came home and immediately continued the task of cleaning out my garage. An agency is coming by to pick up some items I am donating. So I did had a fairly good workout!!! Blood sugar before gym was 167…after workout (including the garage) 137. Not bad…not bad at all.
I do yoga for 1.5 hours a week and ride 80-150 miles depending on the weather of course.
i go to a kickboxing class 2 or 3 times a week, 45 min sessions. then a yoga class 2 times a week, 1h 15min each… and i have a small home gym so the treadmill or punching bag for roughly an 1 hour when the mood strikes, lol
I am currently on day 15 of my 30 day challenge on Wii active. It is absolutly amazing. I was up at 7 am everyday and do a 20 min full body workout on the WII. I have a endo appt 4 days after the finish of my 30 day challenge lets see how much I weigh. Compared to last time.
let’s see: I go to the student fitness center 4 days a week, for cardio (cycling, rowing, treadmill, stair climber) and strength training (free weights, machines) and I also play softball, tennis and occasionally golf. Oh and since Ohio U is all hills and I walk to class I get alot of walking in on a daily basis
I take a half hour stroll around the neighborhood when the weather permits and my feet dont hurt. Otherwise I park as far away from the office as I can and walk 15 minutes to get there. I am also fortunate that my job requires me to walk for errands during the day. That adds another 20 to 30 minutes.
I’ve been using the Wii Fit several times a week for 30-45 mins/day but just started on the Wii Active today!! Did about 30 mins to start. Wow…what a workout!! I worked up a sweat!! My blood sugar was 122 after, so not bad. My biggest problem with exercise is staying motivated enough and dealing with constant fatigue lately!!
Walk the dog (2 miles) and golf (9 holes per week)
I love the Wii Active I think its awesome. I dont remember what day I am on but the flow is better than the Wii fit.
I either use the Wii Active, Wii Fit, Cardio 2009, Treadmill or I go to the Gym…
Agreed, Wii active is way more ACTIVE than fit.
I understand your need for motivation, I bet you could think of one could thing to keep yourself motivated, I think the active will keep you motivated because you are definatly gonna be doing different things everyday. And I will volunteer to be your motivation if you ever need a kick in the butt, Let me know… Good luck
Linzie
Hey Linzie…thanks. Yes you can be my kick in the butt motivation anytime! That would probably help…just being here has helped motivate me in a lot of ways actually! I could definatley see how good the Active is from even doing it one day!! I was surprised how good it was. I think the Wii Fit is great but this one seems even better. Looking forward to trying more! I’d like to hear how your Endo visit goes after doing the 30 day challenge too!!
I work out at least 4 days per week. I try to alternate cardiovascular days with weight lifting days. I haven’t lost any weight, but I do see a change in how my clothes fit and how my body proportions look. That is the main reason why I don’t like to weigh myself.
At my work, we have a “Biggest Loser” team contest. Its been going on for almost two months and I haven’t “lost” any weight. That is kind of discouraging, but the exercise, along with my medications, makes me feel great. I may not be a “loser”, but I know that I’m winning.
I’m not gonna lie these last few weeks absolutely nothing, overcoming the flu! But usually i take a 30 min run 5 times a week and yoga/pilates 2-3 times a week. Summers only around the corner eeeeeek!!
i do weights 4-5 days a week a little over an hour each time not much cardio though
